Over 15 years of tree expertise

Plane Arboriculture Limited was founded in 2015 by Thomas Gregory, a professionally qualified tree expert with over 15 years' experience working with trees in both urban and rural environments. He holds a Btec National Diploma in Arboriculture, has completed LANTRA training in Professional Tree Inspection, and is a Technician Member of the Arboricultural Association, a Professional Member of the Consulting Arborist Society, a Registered User of Quantified Tree Risk Assessment and a Full Member of the Federation of Small Businesses.

After training at Sparsholt College and volunteering at the Sir Harold Hillier Gardens and Arboretum, Thomas worked as a tree surgeon before moving into tree management. He then spent time in Local Government, carrying out tree surveys and inspections for Exeter City Council, managing tree maintenance and planting projects for North Somerset Council, and handling tree-related planning duties for Winchester City Council.

Since founding Plane Arboriculture, Thomas has provided technical resource and advice to Hampshire County Council's Roads and Transport Department, as well as ad hoc advice to other local authorities including Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council. Now working as a professional arboriculturalist in Winchester and Exeter, Thomas is on hand to help with all tree queries.
